PROJECT_INSPIRE CHAT WITH MAUREEN ALIKOR

A two-time survivor of sexual abuse, Maureen Alikor is nothing short of a bold fighter and silence breaker. Through her nonprofit-organisation, Demystify Abuse Campaign, Maureen has become a strong voice speaking against abuse and helping survivors find healing, grow past their wounds and fulfil destiny. Today, we are happy to have with us here at Project Inspire, Maureen Alikor as she shares how this path has been.   PROJECT_INSPIRE : Good day, let's meet you please .   Maureen : My name is Maureen Ogechi Alikor. I am from Rivers State.   PROJECT_INSPIRE : Tell us briefly about your childhood.   Maureen : I grew up in a family of two, I am the eldest. I have a sister. Although I have a half-sister and a half-brother.   PROJECT_INSPIRE : Tell us about your educational background?   Maureen : I hold a Bachelor of Education degree in English Studies from the College of Education, Rumuolumeni Rivers State, now Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.  

BUSAOSOWO FOUNDATION 2019 OUTLOOK

This year started on a high note as we launched a new project on the 5th of January called PROJECT_INSPIRE .This project came to fruition because at Busaosowo Foundation we believe that the youths of our nation are strong and focus driven. Project_Inspire seeks inspire young people to action by telling stories of other young people in the nation who are responding to problems facing their community. From January 5th to December 5th,we have interviewed and published on our blog(www.bofinitiatives.blogspot.com) twelve stories of social entrepreneurs representing twelve nonprofit organizations. These organizations since their inception have impacted over 81,534 lives nationwide and beyond. In the month of June,we carried different drug abuse awareness campaigns addressing the root cause of substance abuse and preventive methods.We were during this period able to reach 1,507 students in seven schools in Enugu State and distributed 1,445 copies of the truth about drugs booklets.
