Goodness : I attended College of Education Staff School and Amoye Grammar School all in Ekiti State for my primary and secondary school education. I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Ibadan pursuing a bachelor’s degree in.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What are your contributions towards making Nigeria a better place?
Goodness : Looking around, I noticed that a lot of young people who are talented are channeling their skills and energy towards the wrong angle and engaging in crime. In response, I launched a not-for-profit organization called Dominating the Future Foundation to drive digital skills development. We are creating on the need for digital skills and helping young people develop interest in this area and deploy same for national development.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What have your achievements been?
Goodness : Our campaigns and trainings started online and later evolve to physical meetings. Our target is young people. So far, we have trained over 1000 young persons in six secondary schools and one university. Our online mentoring group continues to grow and we are expanding to reach out to more young people.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What motivated you to do what you are doing?
Goodness : When I receive my first pay from developing a website for a company, it was like a dream. I couldn’t believe that I could make so much genuinely from just possessing a digital skill. It was at this point that I resolved to begin to encourage other young people to solve problems using digital skills instead of creating more.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What has been your major challenge since you began your non-profit organization?
Goodness : We are limited by funding. We would love to do transit from just trainings to supporting and developing sustainable and innovative solutions. However, this would require adequate funding which we don’t have at the moment.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: How have you been able to raise money to implement your ideas?
Goodness : Our major source of income has been through personal finance. In some occasions, help has come from friends and families. We have also been able to partner with some organization in the course of implementing our ideas.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What are your prospects in the next 5 or 10 years?
Goodness : I hope to do more but for now I want to keep enjoying the process.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: What do you think is the major cause of unemployment among the youth today, and how can we get over this?
Goodness : Aside the leadership deficit we suffer as a nation; I believe that youths are not making the best use of the opportunities around them. Anyone who is unemployed now should learn five to six skills. All of them cannot fail at once.

Goodness :@mbgstudio_ on Instagram and Twitter @Ayanfeoluwa Goodness on LinkedIn and Facebook

PROJECT_INSPIRE: The final word for the Nigerian youth.
Goodness : Start small and enjoy the process. Better days are ahead and you need to be prepared for them.

PROJECT_INSPIRE: Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Goodness: It's my pleasure
